Keeping Croydon’s streets clean and free of fly-tips continues to be a constant battle, as demonstrated by one illegal dumper last week when they left a lorry-load of their old crap that blocked a road in Upper Norwood.
Someone seriously believed that they might just dump a truckload of builder’s waste and assorted rubbish on an Upper Norwood street last week
The council is calling for public help in tracking down the midnight fly-tipper who dumped a ton and a half of rubbish on Auckland Road in the first few minutes of last Tuesday, June 20.
“They obviously don’t care about the mess they leave behind or the clear-up cost to local taxpayers, so I’d urge anyone with information to help our officers whose job it is to track down and prosecute the culprit,” said Stuart Collins, the council cabinet member responsible for the state of our streets.
